Evergreen Hospital Medical Center Patient Facility
Typology: Healthcare
Status: Completed
The ship-like physical structure of the building creates a graceful façade while enhancing interior effi ciencies
and preserving views. Brick bands, metal panels and glass relate to the existing buildings to create a
cohesive campus identity. Within the hospital, patient rooms stack vertically above the surgery suites and
Emergency Department, enhancing ease of use. On upper floors, patient rooms wrap around nurses stations, providing visual connection to all rooms, improving nursing cross-coverage and response times. As a symbol of service, the illuminated stairwell sends a message through the night that the lights are always on
at Evergreen Hospital.
