Studio19 Architects is a vibrant, growing firm located in Downtown Seattle. We have a broad variety of project types and scales ranging from Mixed-use and Multifamily to Hospitality, Commercial Tenant Improvement, Single Family Custom Homes, Interior Design and Master Planning.

We currently have an opening for a senior Project Manager/Senior Project Architect with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience competent in leading a project through all phases, including but not limited to the detailing and technical documentation of project design, coordination of building systems with consultants, confirmation of conformance with all applicable codes and interface with municipal building departments and other governing agencies to coordinate approvals.

Job Description:

  • Lead project through various phases
  • Interpret design concepts and translate them into workable construction systems; evaluate alternatives to develop cost effective solutions; maintain quality technical and design control
  • Preparation and modification of permit and construction drawings ensuring the incorporation of the design intent utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and CAD software
  • Develop construction details and research architectural materials and systems
  • Deliver complete, accurate and coordinated project documentation
  • Work independently or with design team to complete projects on aggressive        schedules
  • Conduct product and code research and incorporate regulatory requirements into technical documents
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Multi-family projects
  • Familiarity with Seattle IBC codes and Seattle MUP process
  • Construction materials, methods, standards and codes
  • Architectural building systems and construction detailing
  • Construction documentation production
  • Revit (including modeling and documentation) and AutoCAD required
  • MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • 3D modeling and rendering software such as 3ds Max Design and SketchUp a plus
  • Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign graphic software a plus
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills

We currently have an opening for an Project Designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an architectural office who possesses strong design and graphic abilities as well as communication skills to support the Project Lead in the creation and development of overall design concepts, presentations, design development and production.

Job Description:

  • Work independently and with project teams on projects from the schematic phase through construction administration
  • Create 3D representations of design sketches or developed projects
  • Prepare and modify architectural documents (plans, elevations, sections, details, etc.) as directed by project designer utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and CAD software
  • Prepare 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings
  • Deliver complete, accurate and coordinated documentation on projects with aggressive schedules
  • Develop solutions to technical and design problems

Job Requirements:

  • Strong 3D modeling and rendering skills is a MUST.
  • Strong graphic, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Revit (including modeling and documentation) and AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software such as 3ds Max Design and SketchUp
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign graphic software
  • Construction documentation and design detail development experience
  • Basic knowledge of architectural building systems

We currently have an opening for an Interior Designer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience competent in the design and technical documentation of Commercial and Residential Interior spaces, familiarity with building code and ADA code, good graphic and verbal presentation skills. Ideal candidate will be able to work on multifamily and hotel projects as well as have experience in high end residential and commercial Tenant Improvement projects.

Job Description:

  • Develop design, construction documents and specifications for Interior aspect of projects
  • Interpret design concepts and translate them into workable construction systems; evaluate alternatives to develop cost effective solutions; maintain quality technical and design control
  • Preparation and modification of permit and construction drawings ensuring the incorporation of the design intent utilizing CAD software
  • Current and familiarity with interior materials on the market
  • Deliver complete, accurate and coordinated project documentation
  • Work independently or with design team to complete projects on aggressive schedules
  • Produce graphic presentation package to convey design ideas
  • Help with marketing graphic materials

Job Requirements:

  • Strong Interior Design capability
  • 3D modeling and rendering software such as 3ds Max Design and SketchUp a plus
  • Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign graphic software a plus
  • Strong graphic skills
  • Strong verbal presentation skills
  • Familiarity with interior design related IBC codes and ADA code
  • Knowledge of new custom home construction and high-end renovation work required
  • Construction materials, methods, standards and codes
  • Interior Construction documentation production
  • AutoCAD required, Revit a plus
